Sol Saks’ Ten Commandments of comedy writing

The late great Sol Saks (creator of the Bewitched TV series) wrote a terrific book on comedy: Funny Business. Highly recommended. Taken from that, here are his Ten Commandments of Comedy Writing:

1. Thou shalt be brief.
   
2. Thou shalt be simple.
   
3. Thou shalt be clear.
   
4. Thou shalt be bold.
